Travel with London to Siena with overnight in Paris

My husband and I would like to travel from London to Siena with either an overnight stop in Paris or at least a full day to tour Paris. Has anyone ever done this? Looking for general advice and timeframes. Thanks

I looked into the train schedule, however, I am reading post from others who took the artesian overnight train from Paris to Florence. I would like to have a sleeper car for just the two of us. Also it seems quite expensive. Has anyone taken this train that could elaborate? Thanks

The standard fare for a bed in a 2-person sleeper on the Paris-Florence night train is €175. However, if you book well in advance (up to 90 days allowed) at www.tgv-europe.com, you can get a Depart Plus fare of €140. To avoid being bumped to the Rail Europe site which doesn't offer discount fares, choose Great Britain as your country of residence. Pick up your tickets at any SNCF station in France.

You also could spend a night in Paris and fly easyJet from Orly to Pisa the next day. Take the train (with connections) from the Pisa airport to Siena.
