Planning a 3 week trip this fall (end of September into October) from DC to Spain. Have never considered any kind of insurance coverage in the past but as I get older I'm feeling less secure about long range plans and all the things that could go wrong. Also I'm wanting to tie things down such as, were to stay at arrival city (Madrid) and leaving city (Barcelona) and as many things inbetween. Another is I'm looking at buying or reserving tickets for site tours.
So if I buy insurance what coverage should I consider: medical for in country ( my Medicare doesn't cover it), flight cancellation, or whatever else is out there. Or why should I even bother? Health is good. The world is at rest (!), what could go wrong.
Ideas and opinions. Thanks folks.
