which airlines fly to split in early august from an american airline served city. i want to fly to europe using my american airlines aadvantage frequent flyer miles.

Have you called the AA milage ticket information folks and asked them how you can use their miles to get to Split? I called the Alaska Airlines milage ticket folks last year (320 days ahead of desired travel date) and asked them how I could use their miles to get to Europe. They were very helpful in getting me there by flying from Seattle on Alaska to Texas and then on to KLM to Europe. Don't know if the AA folks will be so helpful but it would not hurt to give it a try.
