I'm hoping to travel from Lyon center (near the Gare Perrache) to LYS. My flight is at 0655. The Rhone express only starts at 0500. Is the only option taking a taxi? Or going the night before and camping out at the airport? Thank you.

Lyon is no different than Rome, Naples or Venice with the early flights. Check with your hotel. It is very common in Rome and Venice to have a taxi standing by at 3:00am or so to take you to the airport (in Venice, it's a water taxi). I'm betting that Lyon may be the same. It's the same here in Sacramento as well. Super Shuttle has to pick us up at 3:30am for our early flights to hubs where we transfer to the larger planes to Europe.
