Hi! We are traveling to Italy in two weeks, and I am putting together our itineraries! We are staying in a villa near Capraia e Limite sull Arno, 20 min from the Empoli train station. We are planning a day in the Cinque Terra, starting in Monterosso, ending in Riomaggiore, hiking the lower 11 km trail. My question is, should we drive to the Cinque Terra, or take a train from Empoli? If we should take a train, where could I find the timetable? We don't mind driving usually; we could park at either end of the Cinque Terre and ride the train, a boat or a taxi back to our car at the end of the day; however, I assume we'll be tired after the hiking and that a train would be a relief! We do want to have plenty of time for photos, lunch, coffee, gelato, and dinner while there!
