Travel through Paris to Morocco

Hello All,
My husband and I are traveling to Morocco, and find that all flights there seem to go through Paris. We'd like to avoid Paris if possible. Even if you fly through London, Rome, Madrid, etc., you have to fly back to Paris to get to Morocco. This doesn't make sense to me. Does anyone know if it's possible to get to Morocco WITHOUT flying through Paris?? And if not, why?

Thank you, Anne

I suggest you widen your arsenal of search tools.
matrix.itasoftware.com shows Royal Air Maroc with non-stops from New York to its home country. Other trans-Atlantic carriers connect through their gateways: Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt, etc. ITA software is run by Google for airlines and does not sell tickets but you can use the info on the airline's home page.

In Europe, www.skyscanner.com shows no-frills airline flights from London to Morocco. However, discounters such as RyanAir and easyJet do not connect to other carriers, making a stop in London more complicated.

If you want to fly into Casablanca and out of Marrakesh, be sure to use the multi-destination search function on many travel sites to get a package combination.

It would have been easier to prowl the schedules for answers if you had provided your city of departure. If you at not crossing the Atlantic, I apologize for my assumption.

What is your origin airport? What are your travel dates? Is this a round-trip to Morocco, or are you going on from Morocco to other countries?

You can certainly purchase separate tickets to Morocco from Spain, and quite likely from other European countries, but of course through-tickets are far better, since you don't have to worry about losing the second ticket if the first flight is late, and your luggage will be checked through.

I suspect you may be running into airline-partnership issues. Perhaps the carrier(s) serving your home airport do not have interline agreements with airlines flying to Morocco. But without knowing your home airport, I'm just speculating.

One other thought: Are you trying to fly into a city other than Casablanca? For a transatlantic connection, you may need to use Casablanca as your gateway. Incidentally, I see that AirMaroc has a nonstop from Washington-Dulles to Casablanca. I am guessing it's not a daily flight, but I have not checked.

Nope. There are dozens of cities across Europe that have air service to Morocco, including several low-cost airlines. They may not have flights every day, so you need to do more than a cursory search. There are plenty of routes to fly into/out of Morocco. Search again.

I have flown from Rome to Marrakech . As mention on the previous post , there weren't daily flights. This was Ryanair.
Hope you find the flight you're looking for!
