travel on eurostar- round trip vs one way seating together

I will be traveling with my daughter from London to Paris on the Eurostar through the Chunnel. If I have a roundtrip ticket because I will be returning to the states, but she has a oneway ticket because she will be going on and traveling for several more weeks, can we book seats together?

At Eurostar.com the tickets are sold for one-way. I've never seen round-trip tix there. So you two can travel together, providing that two seats together are available. Order early. Buy a separate ticket for your own return trip.

Actually you can book round trip on Eurostar and often the price for a round trip is less than a one way fare. I just checked for random dates in February and that was so-Rt was $435 and one way from London to Paris came in at $516 or so. This was for semi-flexible tickets. People on other travel boards discuss this a lot and the general opinion is that you can book the roundtrip and just not use the return trip. So that might work for you and your daughter. Book the round trip so you will get seats together.

Laura - When will you be traveling? You can purchase tickets up to 120 days in advance. The earlier you buy your tickets the cheaper they will be.
