...my wife and I are doing the my alpine way tour, any info on how to get to Interlacken Switzerland from Chamonix France after the tour is over...we will be staying there after the tour...should we try to obtain rail tickets now or just get on the train when it over...

90% of the journey is by Swiss trains that are always the same price, and the other 10% is a French TER train that is also always the same price.
Schedule and prices are at www.sbb.ch/en. Use from Chamonix Mont Blanc to Interlaken Ost.
PS. SBB will not give a price from Chamonix Mont Blanc, but from La Chatelard, just over the border, it is 64.40 CHF.

We went back to Murren at the end of the tour. The day before, we stopped at the train station in Chamonix and bought our tickets. I already had a Half Fare Card that we used in Lauterbrunnen. This was in September of 2016, so the first leg was by bus as they were working on the tracks. We studied the map so we knew where we would be changing trains.
Have a great time! We LOVED the alpine tour!
