We are traveling to the Languedoc area in February. We are flying into Toulouse and staying in Mirepoix. We are also thinking of traveling from Mirepoix to Florence,Italy and Barcelona. So, here are our questions: 1. How do we get from Toulouse to Mirepoix? 2. Is there a train that goes from Carcassone to Florence and/or Barcelona? 3. How do we obtain tickets to the train?
4. We are thinking we need to rent a car. What is the best way to go about doing that, including a vendor? I love that you have this service. Thank you for any help you can give us!

you should get a car. check autoeurope.com on reservation and rate. there is train from carcasone to barcelona but it involves a change. you can get tickets from train station, typically 1-2 days ahead of departure is fine, the trains are not that busy.

Thanks for your quick response. Do you recommend driving to Barcelona or taking the train. And What are your thoughts about the best way to get to Florence?
