Travel in Italy on Italian Liberation day(April 25)

We will be in Naples on the 25th. I was wondering how much of an impact on museum openings, travel, shopping the celebration of this day has generally?

Thanks Mike

Probably not much. I've been in Rome on Liberation Day two different times and everything functioned normally, except for a few closed streets around the Victor Emmanuel Monument where they were having an official celebration. Naples shouldn't be impacted much at all.

Most celebrations last about as long as a veteran's day parade at home and all they do is clobber the street/square for a while. Everything else continues to run.

Last year, coincidentally (maybe?) in the same period the Itaian government declared some kind of "national cultural week" and all museums were absolutely free. Have no idea if this will repeat or when.

I was in Cortona on April 25th a couple of years ago. There was a parade through the town and then a number of speeches. Everything seemed to be open.
