What is the best way (other than taxi), to get from glasgow int. airport to hotel in the city?
Debby, We have done this a number of times. First you need to know where your hotel is. Go out the ground level front door of the terminal. This is not hard to do. You will be standing on the sidewalk where people both enter and exit the terminal. In front of you is a street with several lanes of traffic. Watch out, the traffic comes the opposite way it does here. In the middle of the traffic lanes is a bus stance island. Go there. Bust reivers will be standing around or else in their busses. You ask until you find the bus to Buchanan Station. That is right near downtown. From Buchanan station you can walk to your hotel if its close. Our's is. The cost is about four to five pounds per person. If your hotel is a ways from Buchanan Station you can go there and then find a cab outside. There is no shortage of cabs in glasgow. When we leave our hotel it is very early in the morning and we have the hotel arrange a private hire cab. These are a few pounds cheaper and unfailingly will sho up at 4:30AM to get us to the airport.
