travel help for 3 weeks in europe

My husband and I are planning to travel to Europe next spring. We are thinking of starting in Amsterdam, maybe spending 3-4 days in Germany, 4-5 days in Switzerland, then ending in Paris with a side trip to Loire Valley. What are the must sees in Germany and Switzerland. What is the best way to travel to each location? We would like to see the countryside, some castles, spend a little time in the major cities.

Since we spent 6 days in Lauterbrunnen Valley, I always recommend it highly. You can take day trips to Murren, Wengen, Gimmelwald and the Shilthorn (Piz Gloria). All except Piz Gloria are minutes away.

It is an amazing area.

I also recommend The Valley Hostel. From the second floor room we had we could see the Eiger, Monch and the Jung Frau. Amazing pictures.

What a "must-see" is depends on your preferences. Train travel is easy and cheap and goes almost everywhere. For seeing, rather than touring , castles you could take boats along the Mosel and Rhine, For the castles themselves there are numerous tours, both in Germany and France
