We have access to a car in Vienna and are thinking of driving to Prague rather than taking the train. We are a party of two adults and one child. How difficult is it to drive to Prague from Vienna?

Driving between those two cities is not difficult. Most of it is on freeway and it is well marked. What's more difficult is driving in the cities especially if you don't know your way and finding non expensive parking. Personally if I would be interested only in those cities I would take a train. But if you want to stop on the way, see little bit of countryside then car is an advantage. Also you can choose which way you go.
