I am planning my itinerary for my 11-week trip. I'm starting in Istanbul for a week, then down the N. Aegean coast to Izmir. I haven't planned beyond that, but will go to Italy next. Any suggestions for getting there? I'm open to where in Italy. As you can tell, I'm new to this :) Thanks!

You can check options at www.whichbudget.com for airlines. It looks like you can fly from Izmir to Bologna (BLQ), Milan (MXP), or Rome (FCO.)
