Travel from Split to Athens

There's no easy way to do this. We tried it a couple of years ago ... went via buses through Montenegro into Albania and flew from Tirana to Athens. Took a couple of days. You'll have to play with the various flight search engines. The quickest way would probably be to take a bus to Zagreb and fly Zagreb-Athens. Or you could ferry to Ancona, train to Milan or Venice and fly to Athens. You might check the Lonely Planet ThornTree forum to see if anyone there has any other ideas.

You don't say how you are going to travel. Are there no direct flights? That would seem to be the best option, though you may have to make a connection somewhere. Whether it will be cheap is another question but I'm not sure there is any other reasonable way to make that trip.
