My daughter is having a summer course in Rome. When she travel the cheapest ticket was through Dublin, now she has to get back to Dublin to catch her flight back home July 31srt at noon. She still has 2 more days with the Europass. What it will be the most economic way to do this. I appreciate if someone get back to me with tips. Thanks
I guess it really depends on the budget and how much travel she wants to endure. The simplest way would be to go to skyscanner.net and look for flights from Rome to Dublin. It looks like there are not any flights that will get her there in time for a noon flight so she may have to leave a day early. If she wants to take the train for another trip or two, she can go just about anywhere and then fly to Dublin from there. For example, she could take the train to Paris and fly Ryanair to Dublin on Friday for $164 from Beauvais airport.
She just needs to check Ryanair and Aer Lingus' websites for their flight schedules from Rome. They're so inexpensive that using the rest of the Europass would be a moot point.
I would probably take the train to Pisa, spend a little time there and in nearby Lucca, then fly to Dublin from the Pisa airport. It's easy to get to the airport (by bus) and the side trip to Lucca would be fun and interesting. Google "flights Pisa to Dublin" to research airlines and fares. It is usually best to arrive in departure city a day In advance to allow for any connection problems.
Thank you so much for the replies, give me a better idea how to move, and Pisa sounds like an educative and fun option. Thanks a lot! Love this forums it really help.
