We are starting our trip in Paris, then going to Cinque Terre, Provence and Barcelona. I would love some advice on how best to travel between each place. We want a car in Provence, but are happy with trains, etc. otherwise. What is the fastest/cheapest way to get from Paris to Cinque Terre? I checked into TGV and was amazed how expensive!! How about flying? Thanks for you advice! Carrie

Paris to Cinque Terre is an 11+ hour train trip. You would probably be happier with a flight of 1 hour 40 minutes to Pisa on Ryanair or EasyJet. They do one-way flights at decent prices. Just be sure to understand which Paris airport they are flying fromit is likely not CDG. From Pisa is is a short train trip to your Cinque Terre village.
