Years ago I took a jetfoil or something similar from Ostende to Dover and wanted to do that again this summer. I cannot find any information on it....doesn't that run any longer?

I took that jetfoil once. It's gone,huh? Oh well. Wonder who's using the boat. :)

According to the Port of Dover website, the only routes now available are from Dover to Calais and Dover to Dunkerque, both by conventional ferry. I think all the fast routes (hovercraft, catamaran, hydrofoil) ceased to operate once the Channel Tunnel became available. There are still fast ferries from Portsmouth to Caen, Cherbourg and Le Havre, but nothing to Belgium.

I also did the Jetfoil trip once. It was a very good foot passenger service. It is no more! If it is the location you are interested in, the nearest currently running (to Dover) is Dunquerque (Dunkirk).

Can I offer you a jet powered football field between Hoek van Holland to Harwich (or nearly identical jet powered football field across to Irish Sea).
