What is the best way to get from Orvieto to Assisi? Bus or Train?

Joann, I went on the DeutschBahn site and found trains taking 2-1/2 to 3 hours with 1 change depending on what time of day you would want to depart or arrive. If we were doing this, we'd wait to purchase tickets there and take the earliest train with the fewest transfers.

Thank you. Is there a bus schedule web site as well that we can use, since we will be then traveling on to Siena and then to Cinque Terre?
