What is the most reasonable way to get to Paris from Manchester?
flybe and jet2 fly Manchester-Paris direct. If you fly during the week, flybe's early morning flight (6:40 am) can be had for as low as 35 pounds (@$70) all in. Jet2's fares for April onwards haven't been loaded onto their website yet. www.jet2.com/homepage.aspx?lang=EN and www.flybe.com
Another option to flying is you can actually book train ticket straight through from Manchester to Paris. Virgin Trains to the Eurostar.
2 hours train into Euston station in London then depart from St. Pancras straight into Paris Gare Nord.
Depending upon when you are traveling I have seen tickets as low as 56 GBP per person.
Can save the hassle of getting to the airport 90 minutes + for security, then the train trip into Paris being another 40 minutes. My thought is that the times would be the same - but the hassle of travel by air could be less if the costs are somewhat the same. Plus you can see a little English countryside as well as the French too.
