what is the best way to get from London to Newchapel and how long does it take?
Newchapel (Staffordshire) or Newchapel (Surrey)?
Thanks, Marco, my question exactly... BTW - from where in London?
I don't know London so any bus or train station that you would recomend. It would be Surrey newchapel south of London.
Thanks
Newchapel is a very, very small village east of Gatwick. With a car - or taxi - from Gatwick station it would only be a few minutes' drive. There is a bus stop adjacent to the London LDS Temple. The 236 Oxted to Copthorne bus looks promising. It has, on a weekday, 5 services from near Oxted station, taking just under 45 minutes, at 930, 1030, 1230, 1430 and 1625. There are 5 return services at 0944, 1144, 1344, 1444 and 1644. Schedule is at

The 915 is promising but only has one trip, and only on Thursdays. Leaves opposite Godstone station at 933 on Thursdays only, arriving at the same Newchapel stop at 949. The return trip is 1231 getting back to Godstone station at 1247. The 917 is of no use, being Mondays only and not going near a station. Oxted station served by frequent trains from both London Bridge station and Victoria Station in London, taking from 28 to 37 minutes depending on the number of stops. Godstone is served by an hourly service from London Bridge taking 45 minutes. So, its either train and taxi or train and bus. Does any of this help?
