I will be traveling from London to Brussels and from there renting a car for travels to Bastogne, Luxomburg and Eastern France. Is the train the best form of travel to Brussels from London? I will then be returning to Brussels airport to fly back to USA. Any comments or ideas?

Sounds like a plan to me. My only thought would be to not have the car while actually looking around in Brussels since it will get in the way. I don't speak train.
