We are looking for infomation on travel options on how to get to Seville Spain from Lisbon Portugal that could include trains or buses....if someone has some good suggestions or has done this we would like to know what worked for them...having trouble figuring out the best way. thanks.
David,
Tap Air appears to be the only airline with direct flights.
That being said, when I checked fares a month ago for our March 30th trip from Lisbon to Sevilla, they had cheap discount fares. Right now, they're more expensive than what it's going to cost us for our airfare to and from Europe!
Two ways available....take a train to one of the southern cities like Faro, then pick up a bus to Sevilla, or take a bus all the way. Unfortunately, there are no direct rail links between the two. Check bus schedules at http://www.eva-bus.com/home.php?lang=UK and http://www.rede-expressos.pt for Faro-Sevilla and http://www.damas-sa.es for Lagos or Faro to Sevilla. For rail schedules, see http://www.cp.pt . For the entire journey by bus, see the Alsa bus company at http://tinyurl.com/cbkwmn
.
David,
Just to update - after a few days, the discount price from Lisbon to Sevilla showed up again. I just booked our tickets on March 30 for 156 EUR total (for two, after taxes/fees). So that's around $100/pp.
