We are visiting Cinq de Terre in June and would like to continue the trip from there by taking the Berina Express from Tirano to Chur where we will spend the night. The next day we plan to visit Neuschwanstein, then Munich. What is the best option from getting from LaSpezia to Tirano (bus or train)? Since there are several web sites to try to find tickets, any suggestions on which are best to use and whether we need to buy tickets now or wait till we arrive in Tirano? Any other tips on getting from Chur to Fussen are appreciated.

In June, the Bernina Express going to Chur departs Tirano at 14:04. To make that train you will have to leave La Spezia on the 6:40 train to Milan, and change there for Tirano, arriving at 12:50. You can save money on the tickets by buying ahead on Trenitalia.com. You can buy tickets for the Bernina Express on either the Rhätische Bahn website ( their dedicated website) or SBB.ch, the general Swiss train website. You would have time to buy them when you get to Tirano, but I don't know about seat availability at that point.
