travel from Garmisch Partenkirche to Fussen

Is there a way to get from Garmisch Partenkirche to Fussen without the use of a car? Where can I find more information on this?

You want to go to Fuessen, not Fussen, this is the spelling (Fuessen) that the rail website will recognize. If you spell it Fussen the website will think you mean a different place and lead you astray.

The vowel,ü, is a sound quite unlike anything in English. According to my University professor, ü is a "geruntete Vorderzungenvokale" (vowel pronounced with the tongue forward but the lips rounded). In English we have "forward tongue vowels", e and i, and rounded vowels, o and u, but this has aspects of both. Originally it was written as "ue", with the e as a superscript. In Sütterlin script (old German handwriting), "e" is written as two vertical slashes, connected, and with seriffs, so this eventually evolved to the ü that we see now. It is pronounced as an "e", but with rounded lips, kind of like like "Fehssen".

There are also tour buses that offer daytrips from GP to the castles, although I don't have any particular information about them... you want to go the castles, not Fuessen, for say, correct?

If you have military benefits, the Edelweiss Lodge also offers frequent trips to the castles. You don't have to stay at the Lodge to book one of these trips (and given the multitude of cheaper, better options in GP, I wouldn't stay there).

A round trip from GaP to Füssen by RVO bus is €8,50 pP with an RVO Tagesticket (Day Ticket), which you can purchase from the driver.

Several times I have stayed in the Oberallgäu (Illertal), near the ski resort of Oberstdorf. When you stay there, you have the opportunity to purchase the Urlaubs-Ticket, a weeklong pass for all the trains and buses in the region for only €17 pP. That allows you to go free by bus to Oy-Mittelberg, from where, for a couple of Euro for a round trip Anschluss ticket, you can go on to Füssen, and back.
