I'm traveling with my family (group of 5), which transportation u recommend?
I'm thinking using airportshuttle.it, are they trust able company?
What about transportation from Fiumicino station direct to a hotel in Rome city, do u have any recommendation? Many Thanks
Shanty - this website will give you details about bus services between the airport and the city: http://www.roninrome.com/transportation/terravision-back-at-fco Another option is the 'Leonardo Express' shuttle train. Just google 'Leonardo Express' and you'll find information. Or use the search box on the Ron in Rome website.
Shanty, The link provided in the previous reply provides great information on the best methods to travel from FCO to Roma Termini. I don't have any experience with the Shuttles in Rome, so can't comment on whether a particular one is "trust able". I normally use the Leonardo Express (train) as it's quick and not subject to traffic issues. As I recall from my trip last year, if you buy tickets for the Leonardo Express from the ticket machine, the cost is €14 each. If you buy from the staffed ticket window, the cost is €15 each (this may have changed). Don't forget to validate your tickets in the yellow machines before boarding the train! The Leonardo Express arrives at Roma Termini on one of the "outer tracks" (Track 25) and it's a short walk from there to the main part of the station. Which area of Rome is your Hotel located? Happy travels!
Try romecabs.com I used them myself & they were very reliable. My flight was 3 hours late in arriving & I was worried that I wouldn't have transportation but the driver was there waiting for me with my name on a sign!
