What would the best way be to travel from Dublin to Paris and then later from Paris to Barcelona? I have been thinking Ryan Air but I am starting to read and hear more and more negative things about this airline. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Aer Lingus has fares from Dublin to CDG for as low as e44. www.aerlingus.com

From my experience flying Ryanair, so long as you know the rules and can avoid as many extra charges as possible, you'll be fine. However, since Beauvais is a long way from Paris, I'd also recommend Aer Lingus for Dublin-CDG.
And since Ryanair uses an airport way outside Barcelona, I'd recommend flying Orly-Barcelona on Clickair or CDG-Barcelona on either easyJet or Vueling.
Or you can take a night train from Paris to Barcelona and save the cost of a night in a hotel.
