travel from cinqueterra to venice??

Any suggestions on how to get from CT to venice? Looking for the fastest, cheapest way to go (and therefore, what town might be best to stay in CT). I'm seeing only 5-7 trains with multiple stops.

First, no matter which CT town you depart from, you will need to make one or more connections. Here are the fastest routes from two of the towns:

Leave Vernazza at 07:16, connect in La Spezia and Bologna, and arrive in Venezia Santa Lucia at 12:33. The 2nd class fare is 42.05 EUR.

Leave Monterosso at 07:35, connect in Bologna, and arrive in Venezia Santa Lucia at 12:33. The 2nd class fare is 42.05 EUR.

Second, fastest and cheapest don't go together. The fare for the leg from Bologna to Venezia on high-speed EuroStar Italia trains (included in the above timetables) is 28.00 EUR. You could have a longer connection in Bologna and take a Regionale train departing at 11:56 and arriving in Venezia at 14:03 for 8.90 EUR. Cheaper fare = longer ride.

You can get timetables and fares on the Trenitalia site. Fares for Regionale trains only appear for travel within the next seven days so enter a date no farther in advance than that.
