Hi all, my friend and I will be going to the Glastonbury fest this June and staying at Wells. After that, we plan to go from Wells to Edinburgh. The problem is, we are not sure which is the best and cheapest way to get there. So far, we have only managed to come up with an option to take the direct National Rail train from Bristol to Edinburgh, but it is also quite expensive. We would like to ask you guys/gals for advice on any cheaper alternative options/routes by train?? Thanks for your help!

If you book well in advance on the East Coast site, you can get discount fares as low as £18. The tickets are released about 10-12 weeks in advance and there is a quota for each discount fare. The cheapest tickets sell out fast so book ASAP.

If you have the time, you might also look at travelling via National Express (Coach) to Edinburgh, or perhaps a combination of train and Coach (depending on your timing and budget).
