Hello Sir,
I am stationed in France and Belgium, but I would like about a ten day tour around Deutschland in September and October.
I plan to hit the O-fest, Neuschwanstein, and touch the ALPS.
Funds, and hotels are a concern, but I am also thinking about driving to catch the pictureque sights of Bavaria and whatever passes the eye ( I got my photo hardware ) !

(Rick Steves doesn't personally answer questions on this forum). Do you have a specific question? Perhaps we can be of more assistance that way.
I would not automatically recommend using Rick Steves' Germany guidebook as your primary research tool because it skips over too much of the country, including the regions that border Belgium... plus, if you're already in Belgium (Mons or Zaventem?), his books aren't even available. If you live in or near the Flemish region of Belgium, look for "De Standaard" bookstores. They usually have a large travel section and a few of the books will be in English.
