My husband and I want to leave from Barcelona and go to Naples (I have though by air), then from Naples to Sorrento by Bus. The original tickets I found on Vuesling (could that really be? We are talking about next may!) are now showing as all booked, so Air Berlin is the next best price . . . still over $250 pp. Is there another way to economically travel this route?
Doubt if all booked. Schedules may not be available similar to your AThens problem.
Charyl, you're too anxious. Hightly doubtful that Vueling has post schedules for next May yet. I can't see anything past Mid-March. Looks like you need another 60 days. Also, it looks like they don't fly this run on Tuesdays or Saturdays.
Charyl, I agree with the others - wait a few months before looking at BCN - NAP air schedules. You'll probably have a choice between Vueling or Iberia for direct flights on that route. I travelled with Vueling in July, and would recommend them. Using September as an example, they appear to offer daily flights on that route, varying in price from €69.99 to €149.99 PP. That same price spread may also be the case in May as well, so if you have some flexibility in which day you fly, you could save a few bucks. Most European budget airlines use a "sliding scale", with the prices increasing as the flight fills, so you'll need to buy as soon as the tickets are available to get the best prices. Be sure to read their Terms & Conditions carefully, especially with respect to luggage limits. When you arrive in Naples, use the Curreri Viaggi Bus directly from the airport to Sorrento (€10 PP as I recall). Happy travels!
Thanks, everyone! I appreciate and will use your advise.
