We'll be making a trip in May and staying at our son's place in Aviano, Italy. Have to make a business trip to Garmish, Germany on the 26 & 27 May. What is the best (and lowest) way to get there?

You may want to just rent a car then. Particularly because the Edelweiss isn't very convenient to the rest of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Thank you for the quick reply. This is only part of a trip we are "attempting" to plan. Basically, we live in Texas, US. Would like to attend our son's award banquet in Edelweiss (Garmish), Germany but would also like to spend some time at his military home in Aviano, Italy. We were even thinking aabout doing a transatlantic cruise to get to Europe and then catch a military Space-A back to the states. It's been so long since we've been to Europe that I've forgotten how expensive and inconvenient it is to try to get around. Not to mention my husand and I are both 54 yrs old (not young spring chickens anymore). Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
