Help! We bought 2 Class 1 train tickets from Nice to Bayeux in the Normandy area. Train arrives in Paris Gare Lyon and departs from Paris St Lazare with an hour layover. Having just looked at the train diagram in R Stevens Paris book I see that there is a great distance between these two stations... Am I misunderstanding the diagram ? How do I get from one to the other in an hour?

As Tim said, you're lucky, those are actually the two train stations that are the easiest to get between because of the fast line 14. But don,t dawdle, it will take you a while to get to/from each train station to the metro side.

Metro line 14 runs directly between Gare de Lyon and Saint-Lazare. Trains run at least every 5 minutes and the trip takes 8 minutes.

ok - thanks - I think I am relieved to see that there is a fast pathway between the two. I just envision two crazed Americans rushing through a foreign train station with luggage in tow, trying to not get on the wrong train. I understand that St Lazare is fairly small so hopefully not hard to navigate.
