TRAVEL BETWEEN TURKEY AND GREECE

We want to make Pamukkale our last stop in Turkey before we head to Athens. We will not have a car nor be on a tour. How can we get from Pamukkale to Athens. I would look at ferry connections between the Turkish coast and a Greek island (Kusadasi to Samos or something to Rhodes for example) Then from that Island, look at budget flights from Aegean Air into Athens.
