We want to leave Seville early on a Saturday morning in October to travel that day to Lagos, Portugal. I can't seem to find a way - Damas doesn't run on weekends. Anybody have an answer? Thanks.
It never ceases to amaze me how poor the public transportation links are between southern Spain and southern Portugal. To get to Lagos by train, you have to go all the way back to Madrid, then to Lisbon, then south to Lagos! Unfortunately, the only intercity bus run on weekends is mid-afternoon, about a 90 minute journey to Faro. After that, you can catch the Portugese railway commuter service to Lagos...about 100 minutes....last train at 8:10 pm.
