My Wife and I are taking a Cruise with MSC which starts in Livorno on the 17/10/09. We will be flying into Pisa and was wondering what is the best option to travel to Livorno. We have heard that there are possible long waits for Taxis at the airport and that you need to catch 2 trains to get from the airport to Livorno. There is a 3rd option, which is a bus, direct from the airport to Livorno. Is there a bus stop near the cruise terminal in Livorno ? from where we can walk to the Terminal, or do we have to go to the final stop in Livorno ? if so, can we get a Taxi from there to the cruise terminal ? what would be your preferred option.

Try the Cruise Critic Bulletin Boards. They also have roll Calls for each cruise and you may find someone there who who is doing teh same thing and would be willing to share transportation with you.

I set up a new thread on CruiseCritic for this Cruise some 3 months ago and still waiting a reply regarding this Cruise. I also set up another thread on Cruise.co.uk (the UK version, which is very similar to CruiseCritic) and as yet received no replies.
