Hi, I have reservations for a week in Tuscany. I plan on staying an extra week and would like to visit Dublin and if feasible, Amsterdam. What would be the best way to travel from Tuscany to these locations?
Air...it's your only real choice unless you want to give up 2-3 days traveling by train and boat.
And with Dublin, Ryanair is a logical low-cost choice. They fly from Pisa, so that might be a handy option. Ryanair sort of services Amsterdam, but out of Eindhoven, you could do an open Jaw flight from the US, into Rome, out of Dublin, then fly from Pisa to Eindhoven, then Eindhoven to Dublin, giving you a good 3 days each in Amsterdam and Dublin.
Besides Ryanair, Merdiana flies nonstop between Florence and Amsterdam.
Aer Lingus flies between Amsterdam and Dublin.
The two airlines use Amsterdam's main airport and not Einhoven.
