I am trying to figure out if it is cheaper to rent a car from Florence to go to the Terme Di Saturnia Resort (we are staying for 3 days) and then dropping off the car in Rome or have a driver take us to the resort and then have a driver take us to Rome. I am thinking the car is cheaper but wanted to see if anyone had good advice. Thanks!

Car rental prices are very high this year. But it’s almost 3 hrs drive from Florence and appears to be in a pretty remote area (45+ km to the nearest train station). I would recommend contacting the resort to ask about hiring a driver. The alternative would be to take the train and hire a driver from the train station. To get to Rome you would get a driver to take you back to the train station, take the train to Rome, then a taxi to your hotel. I would not drive a car into Rome.
