Trasfering from Paris Est to Paris Nord

I was on the Bahn website and am going from Stuttgart to CDG airport and there is 20 mins between when my train gets in at Est and when the RER leaves Nord for CDG. It says it is 800 meters. When I look at the Paris Metro map it looks like the 2 stations are connected some how. Are they? And if they are, are there moving sidewalks between the 2?

Thanks for your help.

The stations are not physically connected, but you can take the Metro between them. Or you can take a bus. But walking will be faster than going below ground and waiting for the next train--and probably just as fast as finding the right bus stop and waiting for the next bus.

About how long is a walk (mins)? I noticed when I was in Europe last time that when someone would say something was a 10 min walk it would always take me at least 15. I think it is because I am not used to walking everywhere.

ViaMichelin estimates that the walk will take five minutes. The timetables on the German Rail site suggest allowing up to 20 minutes. I expect it will take you no more than ten minutes.
