What would be the best way to go from Aix-en-Provence, France to Florence, Italy?
I probably would take the train. BUT you need to define best - it has no meaning by itself. Do you want cheapest, quickest, most convenient, etc.? For me the best way would be a car and driver but I cannot afford that.
