Has anyone take a cab from a cruise line berth to Taormina shopping district.

At cruisecritic.com, click onto ports and then onto Western Med. ports, and find Taormina on the list. You will find the answer to your question and others you may have.

Hi Dario - Been there many times - my grandparents were born in Catania. The ships most often tender into Giardini Naxos - A beautiful seaside village below Taormina. From there you can take either a taxi or a bus up to Taormina BUT I wouldn't!! Walk along the port about a quarter mile and you'll find a Cable car that goes up to Taormina - A fun ride and quick. Or you can consult a book or a website to see how to get there!!! lol
I always prefer a response from someone who has been there and done that !!1 I guess you could probably look up books, etc. without someone advising you to do so ???
