Transportation to and from Civitavecchia port via Rome

I am finding out that it is very expensive (120 Euros) to get from Rome to the Civitavecchia port for a cruise and back to Rome again when the cruise is over. Does anyone know of a less expensive way to do this, other than use the hotel transportation? Thanks,

Use the train -- 8 to 12 E depending on train and 45m to 1 15 depending on train. Look on this site and To the Boot -- the question has been discussed several times in the past couple of days. See RoninRome.com for more description.
