Our flight arrives in Barcelona. From there we are planning to rent a car and drive to San Sebastian, Bilbao, Santillana del Mar, then on to Madrid where we will drop off the car. Does that sound like a good plan? Then we will leave Madrid and travel to Cordoba, Granada, Tarifa (to visit Morocco), and Seville. Would it be best to travel by train from Madrid to Cordoba and from Cordoba to Granada, then rent a car in Granada to travel to Tarifa and Seville? We'll be flying back to Barcelona from Seville. What do you think?

If it's not too late you should try to return from Madrid rather than Barcelona. Since you will almost certainly travel through Madrid on your way back to Barcelona from Seville.
