My mother and I need to find inexpensive transportation from the end of our Rick Steve's tour. The trip ends in Lake Bled, Slovenia (close to the LJU airport); however, we need to leave from Prague the next day. Any suggestions? We're willing to travel by bus, rail, air, or even rent a car to drive. Thanks!

Jared, according to whichbuget.com ... there are no "cheap" flights from Ljubljana to anywhere in the Czech R. Looking in my rick steves "best of europe 2008" book.. you could go by rail from Ljubljana straight to munich (7 hrs & $75US), then from there to Prague (6 hrs & $85US). I don't know what time your tour will be ending, or what time your plane departs, but possibly this could work as a partial day and night train option. It may not be the most inexpensive, but i don't imagine that a bus would be any faster. Possibly rent a car would be your only other option..
