We will be going on the Best of Tuscany Tour on April 13, 2026. What are our options for transportation on the last day from Lucca to Florence?

There’s a direct train from Lucca to Florence through Trenitalia. It’s easy to have the app and just purchase your ticket when you need it (as long as it’s purchased at least 5 minutes before departure). The names are in Italian, so Florence is Firenze.

The buses from Lucca to Florence are faster than the trains. Most buses take 54 minutes whereas most trains take longer— upwards. from 1:20 to 1:40.

thank you both...and actually we'd be heading to the Florence airport which I believe is on the west side of the city...so would the time by bus be even quicker?
