What is the best way to get from the Airport in Copenhagen to downtown Copenhagen

You're lucky. It's very easy! After having left the baggage hall and you're into the arrival hall, just walk straight out 50 meters and you find the train ticket counter on the right (called "DSB" -abbreviation for the National Danish Railways) where you can buy tickets and get advice. Depending on to which area in downtown Copenhagen you're heading, chose either to take a train from the platform right below down underground (all trains run to the Main Central Station and every 10 mins ca. ) or head up the escalator to the first level concourse which takes you to the public Metro, heading for the King's Square and beyond. Word of caution: do NOT travel on any public trains or metro without a valid ticket. If caught, you'll be in for a hefty fine......and the security guards are oblivious to all excuses - they heard them all before!

If you want to go near the train station in downtown Copenhagen, yes the train is a good option. We took the train from the airport when we arrived. If you are going toward Nyhaven, Koenigs Nytorv, Amalienborg or Rosenborg Palaces, the Metro is a much better option. It takes no more than 15 minutes to get to the Koenigs Nytorv stop. As I recall the train was about 20 minutes (and we still had to get to our hotel on the north end of the Stroget).
