We are going on a Rhine river cruise...we arrive in Brussels and need to know the best way to get from Brussels to Brugge.... then to Amsterdam where we take the ship. We will be slepping two suitcases each so would you recommend first class?

From central Brussels there are direct trains every 30 minutes to Bruges. No reservations required, simply purchase your tickets at the train station on the day of your journey. To Amsterdam take a train to Antwerp, and connect to the Thalys high-speed train to Amsterdam. For the cheapest price book in advance (90 days allowed) via this site: http://www.nshispeed.nl/en There are racks at both ends of each carriages for larger bags....in both first and second class.

Please please get to every station with lots of time. Two suitcases each will be very taxing and hoiking them up and down each time will be hard. Be ready to get off at your stop. The train won't wait while you push and shove the luggage. Four suitcases for 2 people is a lot.
