I read that there is no ferry service from Santorini to Mykonos after October 11th. What are my other options? I see flights from Santorini to Mykonos but have to stop off in Athens first. Are there direct flights? Thanks.

I guess I cannot verify that what you saw is accurate, but there is still ferry service in the islands, just not as frequent and not all routes. Looking at ferry booking sites will not help much, since they do not list sailings that far out.
There is certainly some ferry service between Mykonos and Athens and Athens and Santorini as an option, and there may be some connection from Mykonos to Naxos (with a large year round population) and then Naxos to Santorini, maybe requiring a stay in Naxos.
There was a small airline flying between Santorini and Mykonos at one time, but if they are still around, they probably shut down in October as well. Otherwise, yes, your most likely option would be Olympic or Aegean Air through Athens, but even then they are pretty short hops.
I would maybe search and find a travel agency in Greece, they would easily be able to tell you.
