I am on Athens now and traveling to Santorini tomorrow and staying for two nights then on to Crete. What is the best way to get from Santorini, 1 person, to Crete and then on to anywhere in Italy where I will take the train up to France? I have a rail pass and know thy some ferries are discounted and some are included. Just having a hard time know which. Or would it be better to come back to Greece and take the train into northern Greece then a bus across the border and then train again to France? I am liking for the cheapest way, well i don't want to spend extra days traveling to save a few bucks, but would like to find the most cost efficient way from Crete to Nice, France. Thanks!
