Transportation from San Gimignano to Monterosso

Bus and train. First the SITA bus from San G. to Florence with a possible bus change at Poggibonsi. Second, the SITA bus terminal is about 800' from the Florence SMN train station. You will need to walk over to the train station and take the train to Riomaggiore. About 4.5hrs. Alternatively, you can take the bus from San G. to Siena and pick up the train there. The train will take you back to Florence where you will change trains for Pisa/La Spezia Centrale/Monterosso. You will most likely change trains again at either Pisa or La Spezia Centrale.

Joe, a taxi surely would be better. Expect a fare of at least 100Euro and possibly up to 150Euro. This is a long drive and the driver wants to be paid for his return home as well.

Thanks again. I think I'm going to change our plans and hit Monterosso before we go to San Gimignano. It will be LAX to Malaga to Florence to Monterosso to San Gimignano. I'm tired already.
